Culinary Classes at SQACC

We are excited to announce our culinary schedule! 


You can attend individually to develop your skills or invite family and friends.

Classes are for adults

Winter and Spring 2026 Culinary ClassES

Nana's Cooking Series: Puerto Rico SOLD OUT

Saturday, February 21st from 1 pm-3 pm
Location: Nana's Kitchen, 1225 Broadway


 Learn to cook traditional Puerto Rican dishes with Maria Gonzalez, including homemade sofrito, arroz con gandules, and grilled chicken. Each class concludes with a shared meal and time to hear Maria’s story while enjoying the delicious food you’ve prepared together. 

Pre-registration required.

This class is limited to 10 participants. This is an adult cooking class. Those 16 yrs & 17 yrs of age may register with another registered adult.

Nana's Cooking Series: Dominican Republic

Saturday, March 7th from 1 pm-3 pm
Location: Nana's Kitchen, 1225 Broadway


 Join Orquidia Hidalgo for a traditional Dominican Republic cooking class where you’ll prepare classic pollo guisado (stewed chicken), habichuelas guisadas (stewed beans), salad, and white rice. To finish off the class, you will get to enjoy the meal you just prepared while getting to talk with our guest chef, Orquidia.

Nana's Cooking Series: Mexico

Saturday, March 21st from 1 pm-3 pm
Location: Nana's Kitchen, 1225 Broadway


 Join Martha Lemus for a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to make authentic steak chilaquiles with roasted tomatillo salsa, exploring traditional techniques and bold, comforting flavors. The class concludes with enjoying the dish you’ve prepared together while sharing conversation, stories, and cultural insights that bring the meal to life. Pre-registration required.

Nana's Cooking Series: Argentina

Saturday, April 11th from 1 pm-3 pm
Location: Nana's Kitchen, 1225 Broadway


 Join Claudia Annoni for a traditional Argentine cooking class where you’ll get to prepare empanadas de carne (meat empanadas), empanadas de humita (corn empanadas) and learn to do the classic Argentine repulga to finish off your empanadas. The class ends with savoring the empanadas you've made,  while enjoying conversation with our guest chef Claudia.

Saturday, April 18th from 1 pm-3 pm

  Join our surprise guest for a hands-on Honduras cooking class where you’ll prepare steak baleadas, bean baleadas, and fresh curtido, learning traditional techniques and flavors along the way. The class ends with savoring the dishes you’ve made while enjoying conversation with a surprise guest.
